Since 1948, the Yoana Zhabotinsky youth village in Be'er Ya'akov has raised generations of children — many of them new immigrants who found in the village their first home in Israel. Anyone who grew up here knows: it was not a school. It was home.
In 2025, a group of graduates came together and founded the association — to reconnect the alumni community and give back to the village and its students. The association was registered on November 16, 2025, and has been working ever since to reconnect the community: living class communities, gatherings at the village, and educational programs for today's students.
Educational programs for the village students of today: one-on-one mentoring, science enrichment, guidance toward meaningful service, and alumni families hosting immigrant boarding students for holidays and weekends.
A living community of graduates: class reunions at the village, family gatherings on the grounds where we grew up, themed evenings, class communities, and professional networking — alumni helping alumni.
Strengthening the bond between the graduates of the "Yoana Zhabotinsky" youth village and the village, its students and its staff; caring for, supporting and assisting alumni.
Creating added educational, social and employment value for the village's students and for alumni.
Advancing programs for excellence, innovation, welfare and equal opportunity for students and alumni.
Building an alumni database for communication, mentoring, fundraising and community activity.
Running initiatives in education, employment, culture and welfare for the benefit of the village community.
Raising funds and creating independent income sources to finance the association's activities.
All board members are unpaid volunteers. The board meets weekly and is accompanied by a certified public accountant.
